High quality photo references are a must for any good commission by me, for example a pet portrait. I’m happy to create a source if you just have a general subject matter in mind, but are not set with a specific person, pet, view etc. Please contact me to discuss your hopes and needs.

If it’s a pet portrait you’re after, a good tip is to offer a treat to your pet, so they look up for the photo. I require a good facial view, especially the eyes. Backgrounds can be abstracted. Dark coloured pets are best photographed in good lighting, outdoors is perfect. Please discuss with me and I’ll offer any help I can with getting the perfect photo. If the pet is deceased :( I will have a look at the photos you have, and see if I can work something out. I know how special our furbabies are and a portrait of them is a wonderful way of keeping them alive in our memories.
